Terms of Service

Last updated 27 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-27

These terms are the agreement between Gamisya Enterprises ("Gamisya", "we", "us") and the organisation or person that creates a Koot account ("you"). Please read them before you start.

In plain words. Koot keeps your content on your own devices, so you are responsible for it and for backing it up. We run the service that connects your devices. Use it lawfully. A trial is free, small and can change. You may not copy the software. If you break these rules we can suspend your organisation.

01About these terms

Koot is private team communication software: messaging, calls, tasks, documents, drawing and an optional AI assistant. It is made by Gamisya Enterprises, India. By ticking the box on the signup page, or by using Koot, you accept these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Notice.

If you accept for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" then means that organisation.

02How Koot works, and why it matters here

Koot keeps content (messages, files, documents, drawings, tasks) on the devices that use it and sends it directly between them, encrypted. Our server introduces devices to each other (sign-in, presence and signalling). Only if cross-network access is switched on for your organisation, encrypted traffic may be carried through relay servers run by our providers.

We do not run a message database. We cannot read, recover or delete your content, and we cannot remove it from a device.

03Accounts, seats and administrators

04Free trial and paid plans

A trial currently includes up to 5 seats for 14 days. It may carry other limits, for example a relay allowance of 500 MB, and cross-network relay is off unless you switch it on. We may change, extend or end trials.

Paid plans, prices, seat numbers and support are set out in an order form, invoice or written agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, fees are payable in advance, exclude taxes and are not refundable. When a trial or plan ends, or an organisation is suspended, we may stop new sign-ins. Content already on your devices stays on them.

05Acceptable use

You and your members must follow the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. You are responsible for what your members do with Koot.

06Your content and your responsibilities

07Third-party services

We use hosting, email delivery and relay providers to run Koot (see the Privacy Notice). If you connect an AI model or another outside service yourself, that service's terms apply to your use of it, and we are not responsible for it.

08Our software and your licence

Koot is licensed, not sold. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use it for your own organisation while these terms apply. You may not: copy, modify or distribute the software; decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law lets you do so despite this restriction; remove notices; use it to build a competing product; or probe, overload or attack the service.

If you send us feedback, we may use it without restriction or payment.

09Availability and changes

We aim to keep Koot running, but trials and free use come with no service level, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may change, suspend or stop features, and will give reasonable notice where we can.

10Suspension and ending

We may suspend or end an organisation or member straight away if we reasonably believe there is a breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, a legal requirement, a security risk, or non-payment. You may stop using Koot at any time and ask us to close your account and delete your account records (see the Privacy Notice).

Suspension stops new sign-ins. We cannot delete content from your devices.

11Not a safety system

Koot is not a safety or emergency system. Do not rely on it for machine safety, emergency alerts or any life-critical communication. Keep your site's own safety systems and procedures in place.

12Warranty disclaimer

Koot is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is fit for a particular purpose. Encryption reduces risk; it does not remove it.

13Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of Koot, including data lost because a device was cleared, lost or stopped. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Koot in the 12 months before the claim or, if you paid nothing, ₹5,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14Indemnity

You will cover us against claims, losses and costs that arise from your content, from your or your members' breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or from your use of Koot in breach of the law.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date and version at the top show the current one. If a change is material we will tell your administrator by email. Using Koot after a change takes effect means you accept it.

16Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties will first try to settle a dispute by discussion for 30 days. If that fails, the courts of competent jurisdiction in India will decide it, unless an order form says otherwise.

17General

These terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Privacy Notice and any order form are the whole agreement between us about Koot. If part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent. We send notices to the email address on your account.
